audiovisual technologies

One traditional audio technology is the compact disc. The compact disc can be used in a special education classes. The student with reader disabilities can listen to the story and follow along. This will enhance the student reading and won't discourage them to read and follow along. One emerging technology is internet audio. Internet audio involved WAV and MP3 files. This type of technology can be useful in a music course. Instead of professor bringing in a bunch of CD for student to study and listen too, all the music is stored on one device, a computer. Next, one traditional visual technology is print materials. Print material are in just about every classroom. Print material involve homework and classwork sheets. This technology is a thing of the past because the earth is going green and the rise in technology eliminates the need for paper. Lastly, a new visual technology is digital projector. Teacher can use this output device to show lessons in powerpoint. Another use for a digital projector would be student presenting a project on a country or a type of item to a group of peers.
